One of the latest innovations from KANSAI HELIOS is ‘Green Powder’. What makes this powder so innovative are the special resin components and some additives, both of which are made from renewable and recycled raw materials.

While the fillers contained in ‘Green Powder’ are already of natural origin and free of other fossil components (except for extraction and transport), the resins are polyester resins made from renewable bio-based monomers and recycled PET. This means that the use of fresh fossil fuels can be largely dispensed with – again with the exception of the manufacturing process and transport. Powder coatings and ‘green powder’ in particular enable overspray materials to be reused in production.

Almost 100% of the powder coating or the resulting overspray can be recovered in the application process and fed back into the process. This results in only a very small amount of waste. The ‘Green Powder’ coating solution therefore makes a significant contribution to the circular economy.
